Thrive at Work – SMART reports

SMART Training — Thrive@Work
SMART Training — learn to act on work design

Your report showed you the work. Now learn what to do about it.

The SMART Survey gives every team member a personal report and every team leader a team report. SMART Training is the next step: short, self-paced modules that help you understand your results and turn work design insight into practical change.

The five SMART themes

S

Stimulating — varied, interesting work that uses people’s skills

M

Mastery — clear roles, feedback, and a sense of progress

A

Agency — autonomy and a say in how work gets done

R

Relational — connection, support, and meaningful contribution

T

Tolerable demands — workload and pressures kept manageable

Why training

A report is a starting point, not an outcome

Most workplace wellbeing problems start with how work is designed — and work design can be changed. But results only lead to change when people know how to read them and what to try next. SMART Training turns your reports into a shared language for the whole team, so the conversation about redesigning work starts from the same page.

  • For every team member — understand your personal report: what each SMART theme means, what your scores are telling you, and how to contribute to the team conversation.
  • For team leaders — read your team report with confidence: spot the themes that need attention, avoid common misreadings, and plan a first work design conversation with your team.
  • Self-paced and short — modules are built from brief lessons and quick knowledge checks you can complete in your own time, on any device.
  • Confidential, like the survey — your course progress is your own. Personal survey results are never shared through the training platform.

How it works

Three steps from survey to skill

SMART Training is designed around the survey journey — your team completes the SMART Survey first, then training helps everyone make sense of the results.

1

Complete the SMART Survey

Your team takes the survey and the reports arrive — a personal report for each team member, a team report for the leader. Haven’t done the survey yet? Request one here.

2

Log in and enrol

Use the account details provided with your survey to log in, then enrol in the module for your role — team member or team leader.

3

Learn, then act

Work through the short lessons at your own pace, pass the knowledge check, and bring what you’ve learned to your team’s work design conversation.
